Dear Sir or Madam,After starting my carreer as an expatriate, first in the transport , then in the culture industry (Germany, United Kingdom), I worked as an English teacher for the French Board of Education as a certified teacher of English for 16 years. I chose to put an end to my teaching career in June 2011 with a view to become a professional translator.
Shortly after completing a Masters degree in British literature in 2013, I was selected to become a professional literary translator at the Paris Diderot University in France. I obtained my professional Masters degree in Literary translation in September 2014.
As an intern for a French publishing company in the Paris area last spring, I was trained to meet the demands of journalistic writing for The French Ministry of Health, and The French Ministry of Employment. My employer's job consisted in rewriting and updating the contents of the public websites of both administrations to make them accessible to standard users. This introduction to the world of digital publishing was a real challenge as well as a good exercise to write with a specific audience in mind.
At present, I am looking to develop my experience as a writer and as a proficient linguist as widely as possible and offer your companies an impeccable service. This is how I was recently hired to work for renowned photographer Raymond Cauchetier for the imminent publication in Britain of "Raymond Cauchetier 's Nouvelle vague", documenting the long career of the photographer, particularly as a set photographer for iconic Jean-Luc Godard film Breathless (A bout de souffle).
This rewarding project is emblematic of my interest for the arts. I also have a particular interest for social and educational sciences and anthropology. A regular donator of the French charity " La chaîne de l'espoir", I am now also a volunteer to join the intervention teams for translation and interpreting purposes.
As a former teacher, I remain particularly tuned to global development issues, with a special interest for Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
I believe my versatile experience and excellent knowledge of the British and German cultures can be put to good use to help your company communicate efficiently for your international business.
